FYI, I used the manual fix of finding owner="BAR" and reassigning that to prior owner to get past the stuck date issue.
645 AUV -- C++ Runtime Error
I, too, have the game crash on the same date over and over. I've played from the earliest date. Now, for the last two restarts, when the year rolls over from 645 AUV (restart date was 01/01/645) to 646 AUV, the game crashes with a runtime error. According to the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library, the game requested the library to "terminate it in an unusual way."
All drivers are current. I've had no problem playing for the last 200 game years. No error file or log was created that I know about.
