So I haven't been able to run the game at all for the last couple of days. Right after starting the game, during "loading databases" screen the game always crash and return to windows (They're almost always crash when it's at "initializing map logic" phase, but sometimes go a bit further then crash so I'm not sure that's the problem).

What I've done:
- No Mods, I don't usually play with mods. The only one I had was Veritas et Fortitudo but it's not on and I haven't used that in a long time (and I deleted it just to make sure)
- Check file integrity several times, no error found, game still crash
- Clean reinstall twice, doesn't fix the problem
- I've read the forum, and tried some of the suggestion on problems that might sound identical to mine (adding exceptions to anti-virus/ticking the run as admin on launcher and bootstrap but no EU4.exe itself. None of them worked
- Updated my GPU driver
- I tried running the game with all the DLC off just in case (and there are no mods in my game)

What I was doing leading to this:

Was playing a game (Bannerlord) when it randomly crashed (from the way it crashed I'm thinking it was a graphic driver issue). I booted EU4 after that. Got 2 exceptions Gameoverlayrenderer and something about Legacy driver? I've had these errors in the past and it never amount to anything. The game always start as usual after I click ok at the exceptions warning.

So I'm not sure what's happening. Clean install twice, updated GPU driver, pretty sure it's not the launcher. I can't think of anything else to try. Stellaris having similar issue (loaded the game, but once it's on main menu, it crashes immediately. CK3 runs fine, so are my other games so I don't think it's a GPU issue)

I've attached DxDiag, Exception.txt and error.log, I don't know if you need any of those or if you need any more. On error log, it just said parsing error - a game of throne music.mod which I downloaded and then removed a long time ago so I'm not sure why there's an error log for that. Any help you can give me is appreciated. Thanks!

Have a look at the timestamp of the error.log file. If it is from your last startup, some files from the mod definitely still exist. They could either be in "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/mod" or in the mod folder of your eu4 installation. If you can't find them, try to search for the file "a game of thrones music.mod" with the windows file search. I don't think that this mod is causing your crash, but I would still suggest that you retry a clean reinstall and make very sure that you found and deleted all folders which it mentions, because that file should not have existed after a proper clean reinstall.

The crash might have something to do with the steam overlay, because gameoverlayrenderer64.dll is mentioned in the exception.txt. I guess this could be an old version of that file in your eu4 installation folder which is causing the issue in which case a proper clean reinstall would help.
You could also try to disable the steam overlay in the steam properties of eu4. Or it could be a third party software which is trying to overlay something on the screen and this clashes with the steam overlay.

It turns out to be RivaTuner (I saw it on one of the forum threads). It's weird because I always had Riva+Afterburner on and it was never a problem (until launcher 2022.9 then the display won't show anymore and now this). It sucks because I'm playing on a laptop and I need them to monitor the temp for other games. That's solved for now, ty for trying to help. The game of thrones music mod thing is a puzzle. I did clean install (deleted both steamapps/EU4 folder and the documents/EU4 folder, and I searched for the file in my PC and didn't find it so I'm not sure what's going on lol

Maybe steam didn't install eu4 where you expected it to be. Did you try to right click on eu4 in the steam library and select "manage"=>"browse local files" to find the correct folder?
