Game Crash

I'm playing as Germany in the '36 scenario and, when a bunch of other countries are at war with Japan, I click "Bring to Alliance" for Japan and the screen goes black and the game crashes! I can hear the flurry of pop-ups right before the crash so I don't know if it is becoming overloaded or what.

Try turning off selected pop-ups before you try the alliance, that may be your problem. Turning to counters may help it, somehow.

Have you tried saving and then loading it up as Japan and offering Germany an alliance?
