Game crashed upon loading a scenario

I can get into the main menu and the scenario selection fine, but when i click on one of them and load it, the loading screen never goes away and when i minimize i get a "This program has stoped working" menu thingy, and then it freezes for about five minutes and shuts off.

I used to be able to play fine, but i uninstalled it a while ago and just reinstalled it today.


I have IC over DH, IC is patched to the latest, and DH is 1.2

I suggest the following installation procedure:
- install DH
- install DH patch 1.02
- start DHFull, check the checksum: it must be KPNA, otherwise you did something wrong (wrong DH patch maybe?)
- if checksum of DHFull is KPNA, install IC (remember to choose DH version and DH main folder, not DH\Mods folder)
- install IC patch 1.02 (remember to choose DH version and DH main folder, not DH\Mods folder)
- start DH+IC, check the checksum: it must be ZJKM

So, what is your checksum for DHFull and what is your checksum for Iron Cross over DH?
 
DH Installed
DH 1.01 patch installed
DH 1.02 patch installed
Working fine, KPNA, as does the launch menu say version 1.02.
DH Is working fine.

IC is installed
1.02 installed
Crashes upon scenario loading.

I seem to recall having this problem when i first installed IC, i couldn't it it to work and finally broke down and registered to get it working. Do i need to install the Revision 7 and 1.02 patch?


I have no idea what happened, i did nothing differently from what i've done about 20 times in a row, and all the sudden it works fine.. o_O

As a general rule for DH (and I think IC as well), each patch contains the previous one, so DH patch 1.02 and IC patch 1.02 were enough (no need for patch 1.01 or revision 7).

So is it working now? If you can, please try to understand how you did it, as it may help others in the future. :)

I have no id. I had the same as Jade Rat, I had installed DH + patch 1.02 and then IC + patch 1.02 and usually the scenario would give CTD or in the scenario all countries would suffer from enourmous depletion of recourses so everyone dies in the first month. But now I installed it the same way as I always did, like u guys say, and the scenario works fine! I dont know, maybe its because i installed it on a new good laptop, though it shouldnt really matter, right? Anyway, I can finally play but now i have to choose between DH + IC, DH, Men of War, Napoleon Total War or Fallout 3!!! Oh noeeesss!!!111
