4 crashes in 3 hours. !
As Russia, Portugal and Castile I had 4 crasshes as iam about to hit the 100 number.

Look at the running problems thread there, there might be a few suggestions that will work for you.
The game will still crash ocasionnally, but it shouldn't be that often...

Umm... that is not exactly the answer I expected for a (supposingly ?) finished product specially if I paid the full price for it.

Well, I could have told you the game is not crashing and it's only an illusion if you see it crash

I had some trouble with EU I crashing, and even more with Civ III. The problem was solved by installing an updated driver for my video card. Perhaps you could try this?
