Game crashes after I pick nation.

I just reinstalled this on a Vista PC, and am running in XP compat mode. The game loads fine, but when I pick a country to play it crashes to desktop after the loading screen starts.

What can I do to fix it?

This game runs fine on normal Vista.

Try to see if you also have this crash when running it under Vista

And also try and rename your avi folder to avi.old and set colordepth to 16bit

I was having the same problem, and renaming the avi folder worked! Thanks!
