sirs why does my game crashes after installing the armageddon expansion? please help im excited to play this expansion

yeah, after installing the armageddon i downloaded and installed the patch 1.2 right away. the game opens but crashes when i start the game after choosing you country
uhhhhm i guess its a problem with patch 1.2.... i uninstalled hoi2 everything, installed doomsday-it worked, installed armageddon-it worked, installed 1.1 arma it worked but when i nstalled the 1.2 it crashes.... what will i do now, i cant join a mp whout the i.2

If redownloading does not work do the following
1. Uninstall HOI2 Arma and Doomsday.
2. Turn off UAC (if you have Vista) here is how...

4. Test that the game runs.
5. Install Armageddon on top of the Doomsday installation (c:\games\hoi2dd)

8. Verify that the game runs... you should get Checksum VBLV. Verify that you can run a game scenerio by selecting a nation.
9. Copy the entire contents of the c:\games\hoi2dd folder to c:\games\hoi2ddbackup.
10. Optional. Install the HOI2 Arma 1.3 beta patch. Install it by doing the following:

Do you have the Doomsday CD.
If you do try this
delete all the files/folders in the doomsday directory (not the directory itself)
Then insert the doomsday disk and choose repair.
This should bring you up to doomsday 1.0 and you can proceed with the rest of the installation as i described above

sir it still doesnt work i did what u instructed but it still does not work when i install the 1.2(ive downloaded on the link u posted)

yup. i can play arma and arma 1.1, it works very well... but only when i install 1.2 i cant play any scenario, i can open the game but when i choose a nation and start it, the screen turns black after about 3-10 secs, it says something like 'hoi2 has encountered problems and it needs to close, send report ,dont send'....
I have exactly the same problem. Did this ever get solved?
After a couple of hours uninstalling, re-installing, crashing etc I 've now got up to what the poster said he got to before it all went wrong - i.e. Armageddon 1.1 which seems to work - at least the scenarios load and start - not had time to play yet.
Will I lose much if I just stick here at Arma 1.1 - I don't want MP?
What with yesterday's purchase of Vae Victis crashing/hanging on exit requiring unplugging everything including the battery to reboot, and now this mucking up my HOI2 I'm becoming cheesed off with recent purchases.
If there's no simple answer I'll probably wait to 1.3 has a full installer unless there's something major awry with 1.1.

Change the screen resolution & color depth
My clean install of HOI2 (Doomsday & Armageddon 1.3) did not run in full screen mode with my desktop at 1680x1050 32bit but I did get it to run in Windowed mode ("K:\Paradox Interactive\Doomsday\HoI2.exe" WINDOWED) after setting the desktop to 16bit color mode.
When I set my desktop to 1024x768 16bit mode, the game was able to run in full screen mode.
I use FastRes to change modes.
