Game crashes around the same date in-game, consistently.

Description​

The game enounters an error that crashes the game to desktop; around 11-19 august, 1076 in-game. Tried letting it run on a slower game speed, but no change. Not playing with mods.

Load save, let run. Seems to Crash around 11-19 august, 1076 in-game.

I rolled back the update on steam to version 1.16.2 and the game progressed normally, no crash whatsoever - I advise you to do the same until Paradox fixes this bug (Properties > Betas > Beta Participation set to 1.16.2).
So it's definitely game side.

Yes I did this yesterday after more than 24h had passed with no acknowledgment by Paradox.
I hope they fix it soon so I can try the hard mode at least, and I hope they take this lesson to:
1. Not release patches right before the weekend
2. Take a look at what kind of testing they are making because it's very lacking lately. They had to do a reroll some time ago too (and honestly this patch seems way worse to me)

I can confirm this. Rolled it back to 1.16.1 in my case and I've been happily playing for hours.

The same thing is happening to me - game keeps crashing on 15th July 898

Was really invested in an Ironman campaign and this began happening.

Would like a fix soon, because I don’t feel like abandoning this campaign.

GIven this thread, and other similar ones, as well as the fact that this bug makes the game unplayable, It would be cool to hear that this bug is recognized and being investigated, especially because similar threads from the past have gone unanswered and for those of us who are experiencing this, the game is worthless at the moment.

Well in some of their last post in steam, they showed us graphic of what they are mainly concerned about, crashes is in top priority, i guess they don't know how to respond to us right now.. Can't play crusader king if i'm not sure i'm not gonna lose HOURS of my life for nothing again.. Gosh i had the best byzantin playthrough in ironman i ever had right now, really hope i can save it..

same issue here, always crashes 27. of April, no matter what I do in the game. I attach a crash logs. Please fix it

I had the same issue, but going back to the previous patch 1.16.2 solved the issue for me. Or it at least let me continue the game.

To go back tot patch 1.16.2 right-click on the game, select properties, select bétas en then on the top right side select the patch you want to us, like f.e. 1.16.2

Close the pop-up and launch the game.

I rolled back to all versions including 1.15 but didn’t work. In my case it keeps crashing at the same date regardless of the selected version. Hasn’t this been fixed yet?

That's mine. I've rolled back to a few different versions with no luck and going to a previous save just causes the crash date to shift a little
