Game crashes at diplomacy screen

Hi! I'm not from the UK, so sorry for my bad english. I've got a problem with HoI2: I've conquered almost hole Europe(including UK) and I wanted to annex the UK. But everytime I open the diplomacy screen of UK the game crashes back to the desktop :wacko: . I've got:

An AMD Sempron 2800+
WinXP Home + SP2
512 MB RAM
A GeCube RADEON 9200SE with 128MB

PLZ help me, this is very frustrating!

It also crashes for an unknown Reason after some time

I've tried at another PC, and it also crashes with a Intel P4, WinXP Home +SP, 1024MB RAM and a GeForce 6600GT

Well I am not from UK either so no problems with the Queen's English.

Do you have patch 1.1 installed?

I have noticed the same problem in a game as Poland however i don't have 1.1 so that could fix it.

Mine crashes at the Diplomacy screen too.

Mine crashes sometimes too to a dead crash....meaning it freezes up.
I see there's a bad problem with the Democracy screen crashing to the desktop and ending the game. Seems like I'm not the only one. I am using the v1.1 patch and it still does it. JFYI, I am using a Radeon 9200SE 128mb DirectX compatible. Needs a new patch to take care of these crashes and freeze ups. :wacko:

Are you saying that everytime you hit the diplomacy button it crashes?

same issue

I'm getting the same problem as germany during the SCW. Every time I annex part of spain and they agree to my terms(when they don't agree it seems to avoid the lock), my whole system locks up. If any other users know of a work-around I'd be most grateful.
