Good (insertappropriatetimeframehere), gentlemen(or Ladies!)

I recently purchased Crusader Kings II off of the Steam store, at the behest of a good friend of mine who wished to share a few games of the aforementioned, however before I could even get to playing this well-recommended game, I ran into a problem from the get-go.

As soon as I was past the Loading Maps segment of the first loading sequence, in the second segment entitled "Loading Graphics..." I crashed with a window saying "CK2 has stopped working" I haven't found any fixes for this particular problem, albeit I've found similar fixes. I've tried running the game on Admin, I've tried reinstalling, verifying the integrity of the files, I've tried #6 and #7 from one of the top posts, but all to no avail. The problem persists.

These are my (relevant?)computer specs:

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.111118-2330)

Hope that there's a fix out there, my friend is currently attempting to give his GFX folder to me, to see if that may fix the problem, otherwise this is my only resort.

Thank you in advance :)

Try swapping your HDMI cable for a VGA one, I suspect that will work around the problem for you until that bug is fixed.

Alright, I had to dig through my ever-so ancient trunk of old things I keep around for sake's sake. I managed to dig up an ancient monitor with the recommended VGA cable, however, now, on the new monitor the game just instantly crashes. I've already tried #6, so... I'm not really sure what's going, I tried entirely disconnecting the HDMI cable instead of running a two monitor setup, but nothing. Thanks for the help though, atleast it's changed!

please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the "Sound devices" section for brevity), settings.txt, system.log and error.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload). Also open setup.log, search for "checksum", and paste that line only in here.
