I've been playing EU for about a month, and it appears that the frequency of crashes to desktop are increasing. When I first upgraded to 1.09 it would crash rarely, maybe after a couple of hours (about the day it came out), last night it crashed to desktop three times in one hour. I last night the three crashes happened during peace neg, watching a battle closely, and clicking on a country in diplo screen.

Sometimes when I try to rerun EU it causes Explorer to page fault in KRNL386, and Dbserver page faults next in KRNL386.

Any help would be apprciated, I am running Win98 SE on a 1.2 GHz AMD with DDR RAM.

 I don't know if this will help you but I had crashes to desk top around the early 1600's. I went in and turned off the music and then replayed from earlier save game (tk's to saving the game often) When I reached the point where it went to desktop, it just went on with the game and didn't crash. I tried this several times and each time had the same result, Try turning off the music. In the case of date freeze up, I went into messages and changed all those I had checked as message box & pause to either message box or log, and this (so far) has stopped that freeze up. I don't know if these will continue but so far they seem to be working...

just some ideas Mac

I would suggest trying to defrag your disk.

A lot of games require this and I have seen EU improve immediatly with a good old defrag!. Depends on you own system of course but try it and let me know.

Cheers, Ice:cool:
