Game crashes on save after latest update ps5

Description​

I sent a support request but was asked to post here. I also posted in the console forum and it was moved to tech support.

My ps5 downloaded the latest automatic update yesterday 5/20, I also have northern lords installed. After starting to play the game would crash 50% or more of the time I saved. This is frustrating as I could lose an hour or two of gameplay. I have auto save turned off so I am just manual saving to the console. When it crashed it would take me to the ps5 main screen.

I tried restarting the game. Also tried restarting the ps5 it still happened.

I have not seen other reports of this problem on the paradox forums but there are other people describing it on the ck3 Reddit forums for the console. I hope it will be looked into and a fix released.

Update: I tried saving right away to see if the game would crash, it saved ok. I let the game run for a few months to let changes happen in the world and events and then tried to save, it saved ok.

I started playing then, played for about an hour and tried to save the game crashed on saving.

I don’t know if playstation shares crash data with developers or it is useful but I submit the auto generated crash report to Sony.
