Game crashes on speed 5 contantly

Description​

Reinstalled, Verified game cache, reinstalled again, deleted all my Vic 3 folders. When is this issue being fixed? I really do not want to do any workarounds, turning cores off in the bios to play this game, else what's the point of upgrading my PC? I've also tried turning off V-Sync and capping it at 60 FPS, no dice.

PC Hardware:

CPU: Intel I9-14900k 3.20 GHz
RAM: 64.0 GB DDR5
GPU: Nvidia 3080 Ti

Currently this game is unplayable and it's frustrating. I love Victoria 3, but if I want to speed 5 for any reason I risk my game CTD or worse - my PC fully crashing and my machine turning off, making me have to restart. I'm not linking a save game as I've tried current saves, brand new games, anything and I still get the same result.

If this issue isn't resolved soon - I'm just going to have to uninstall this game and leave it until it's fixed, as I can't play the game :/

Hello. PC fully crashing and machine turning off points at hardware stability or cooling issues. I'll move the thread to Technical Support as they might be able to offer more assistance with hardware-specific issues.

Right click on victoria3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.


If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/pdx_settings.json .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

I've already tried this and it still crashes:

There is no exceptions.log file in my: Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/logs/
