Game Crashes when I click play. (I own every DLC that is not a music pack.)

I also do not own the customizer, though I did pre purchase EU IV (I got my DLC codes as well from the bonuses) and the converter appears as owned. As well, if and when this issue gets fixed and I can play again, where in the world is the converter at? I could not find an option on steam or in the pre-game menu.

Checksum:

No modified files in the core folder.

Integrity verified, steam restarted after clienregistry was deleted. The generic fixes do not work.

Hmm, we're testing it here and it works for everyone at the office. Sometimes, there are issues after we've just uploaded a new version to Steam. I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the game again in an hour or two.

Well I'm going to bed soon anyway, hopefully a reinstall when I wake up will fix everything. If it doesn't I'll just post in this thread again.

I'm having the same problem. Originally thought it was just with old saves, but it's with new games too. I will try uninstalling and reinstalling at some point.

Edit: In my case it was the keyboard mod causing the crashes.

Another thing you can try is to disable all portrait packs in the launcher. Let me know if that helps.

I'm having no issues and have all the dlc, bar converter and music packs. If people are having crashing issues,t hey might want to give their dxdiag for the tech guys to look at, there could be a common theme.

I had crashing issues since patch with the steam and all dlc's. It stopped after reinstalling the game in steam. Only file that changed after the reinstall seems to be the dlc_signature in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II.

I am having same problem Gamersgate edition ,i updated to 1.11 today and it keeps crashing. i choose single player and no matter whether i click a old save or start new when i click play it begins to load and suddenly it crashes to desktop. please help.

Just tried without customize dlc, it works, the new dlc for rename and changing vassals is crashing my game.

Edit: What the hell why would keyboard shortcuts crash my game? I mean that was the problem, I deleted keybord shortcuts and boom everything is fixed but still. Wut.

After every game patch, virtually all mods need to be updated to work with the new game code.

No mods, no files have been edited all vanilla files. I uninstalled it,redownload from gamersgate and reinstalled, unchecked all dlc and then rechecked started game and when i click play it begins to load and crashes to desktop once again, but it does'nt do it when i uncheck the new customize dlc, no idea whats happening.

If this helps this is the problem info windows gives me, probably just no use

Seemed to have fixed it, i uninstalled ck2 again and deleted everything from the program files and the user documents like mods that where installed but not turned on, and re installed ck2 and update 1.11 and now it works. Something that was in one of the folders that the game doesn't remove on uninstall and is not overwritten with the updates was crashing the game. No idea what it was

I tried this but all that happened was now when I start the game it imagines I do not have the customizer dlc or the Old Gods dlc either. probably others too but i can't figure it out which ones

all of them are checked in the launcher but they do not work when i play the game. The islam one works, but not the old gods

I just don't understtand it
