Game crashes when pope dies

I am unable to go futher in my game because evertime the pope dies it crashes as soon as the next one is elected. I even killed off the next 3 in line with the die cheat and it still crashes. I have a save that can reproduce this if needed.

What version of the game are you playing ?

latest beta with the minipatch... even uninstalled and did a fresh clean instal and reinstalled patches with beta and same happens

Did you start the game with the beta? It may sound like an odd question, but I attempted to load up a game that I'd been playing in 1.04a after I went to the beta, and it crashed when the pope died.

Nope started it with the beta.... had other games on going too and had no problem getting to 1200's... this one dies in the mid 1100's since the pope is 73 years old...

oh and this isnt the first pope that died either.... he is like the 4th one of the game so far

My game also crashes at different events, mainly when my king dies. I am using the latest patch as well.
