Hi,

I've tried all the tips and tricks that have been posted in steam and here but I'm still having problems. The only thing I was able to notice while trying the fix and separately was that the errors were rising exponentially to approx 50000-70000 then the game would crash shortly after. I tried using mods after the fix (I only use a few cosmetic ones and launcher didn't flag them) but issue remained.

Is there a patch pending or is this something we're all going to have to navigate ourselves? Even with no mods I have no idea how some are able to actually play with the new dlc. It always crashes after a while...

Thanks.

Taylor

Mods can never fix a problem with the unmodded game. Please disable ALL Mods while we work on this.

Right click on victoria3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.

If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/pdx_settings.json .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.txt

I cant seem to find the compatibilty tab. Once i click properties this screen pops up can i get some help on where to find it?

You are not right-clicking on victoria3.exe but something else, maybe a desktop shortcut. It must be on the actual. exe file.

Am i in the right place now? I right clicked it on steam and clicked browse local files, still cant find compatibility though.

From there go into the Binaries folder. You'll see victoria3.exe in there.

Note it may display as just victoria3 depending on your Windows settings.
