I downloaded the update, started up the game and was able to play for about an hour before it crashed (better than the 5 - 10 min I was getting before). My anti-virus was disabled and all my drivers are updated. I have also attached the error log file.

Edit: Added dxdiag results along with pdxsettings and the rest of the txt files from the crash folder.

Looks like a problem with the nVidia driver or card:
Fault bucket LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys_Pascal, type 0
Event Name: LiveKernelEvent

[23:07:43][gfx_dx11_swapchain.cpp:197]: D3D error (C:\jenkins\workspace\titus\cw\clausewitz\pdx_gfx2\DX11\gfx_dx11_swapchain.cpp:197): DeviceRemoveReason returned: The GPU will not respond to more commands, most likely because of an invalid command passed by the calling application.
Please try this:

- uninstall your existing nVidia driver
- reboot
- install the latest by fresh download from here:
- reboot again

Good luck with that!

This seems to have worked. Thanks!

By chance, do you know know how to add the game to Avast's ransomware shield? I have access to the Windows Apps folder when I open it in file explorer, but not when I try to add it to the allowed apps list.

Does Avast allow you to whitelist entire folders? Might be worth just whitelisting the entire WindowsApp folder

Just tried it and no dice.

Edit:
Running Avast as admin allowed me to get into the Windows Apps folder, but now it won't let me select the executable. I'm not able to change the permissions on it either as far as I've tried.

The windowsapp folder is really really really weird so its very difficult to do anything in there unfortunately. tbh if your nvidia driver update fixed the problem i probably woudlnt spend too much time trying to figureout the whitelisting

Yeah I wasn't too worried about it. I don't have too many PC games through Xbox so I've never had a reason to mess with anything in there.
