The game sometimes randomly crashes, the exceptions.log shows SIGSEGV which apparantly is a segmentation fault. I believe this to be a fault of the most recent update, since I rarely crashed before, but crashed 3 times today alone.
Attached are the exceptions.log, game.log and error.log as well as a screenshot of my specs.

That error log is worrying, so let's do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-EU4
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4 folders
In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam EU4 or Documents EU4 locations, before installing again.

- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- start the game with no mods active and test with a new campaign - NOT any existing one

**File Locations on Mac OS X**
The executable and DLC folder are in Users/USER/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Europa Universalis IV/
To see it go to the Finder, hit command-shift-G (ie Go To) and type in ~/Library/ .
The user files (settings.txt, error logs, saved games, gfx, mods) are in /Users/USER/Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/ .
 
I have now deleted and redownloaded and will start a new save game. I will of course continue reporting if anything happens. I think however that nothing will happen in the early parts of a game.
 
Small update of mine:
I could continue my game, but I did crash. I crashed less often as well. I am unsure if that ahs any impact, but after reducing the amount of savegames I ahd of that particular run, I had less issues as well. Multiplayer worked flawlessly except a crash at the very beginning in the lobby (only the 1st time). But my computer was quite hot from previous activities.
 
Small update - this is still happening. From what I could gather from the various error.logs I looked through, it has to do with tribes, since it always says that the tribes development was negative. This happens only rarely in the early game (because I believe that the negative development has to do with being annexed somehow) due to the tribes not getting wiped. It happened in both SP and MP and appears to happen randomly (i.e. the criteria to crash happen randomly) or at least appears to me that way. The previous update (on the save that it happened first to me) it happened less and less for a simple reason: there were less tribes that could get the negative development.
