Hi there,

I've been having some problems with random crashing of the game.
With the latest crash I got the error as follows:

Error: Runtime error in "metro/scripts/engine.script" at line 314: Internal error!

I am running no mods.

My system:
CoreI7 870 @3.2ghz
GTX570 1280mb
8 gig DDR3 @ 1600mhz
Windows 7 home premium 64bit

"I am running no mods."
"Any mods running?"
:D
Oops... didn't see that one...
Do you have an Intel integrated graphic card? (most i7 processors have it). Make sure the game is not using it.

Error: Runtime error in "metro/scripts/engine.script" at line 314: Internal error!

again.

does anyone have any ideas as to what can fix this?

So far I have:
Rebooted
Un-installed and re-downloaded
Updated video drivers

Are you able to play for a while and it crashes at random points? How long can you play usually?
Have you browsed through similar threads here for ideas?

Did you try to delete "settings.script" file located at "C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Cities In Motion"?

I have tried deleting that file.
I played for a little under an hour on both New York and Vienna with no crash's.
I'll try deleting all my "C:\Users\(username)\Documents\Cities In Motion" files and start st petersburg again.

Warning!
If you delete everything under "C:\Users\(username)\Documents\Cities In Motion" you will loose all your saved games and user-created maps! You should backup the maps and saves folders first!

After doing that and starting a new game on st petersburg, has been stable for nearly 2 hours. Fingers crossed it was a bad combination of the settings.script and save game at the same time. I think I deleted the settings.script file after starting the new save last time around, may have been why it was still crashing.

nope

After a hood solid 3-4 hours of play on my new game... underground looking at my Metro double platform with maybe 300-400 total passengers over the 4 lines... boom. No error even noted. I've had enough.

I sometimes also have crashes...I gave up on trying fixing them...Sometimes the game runs without problem for a whole weekend, sometimes it crashes every few hours. In my experience, if you switch away from the game while it's running, that increases the chance of the crash. But come on, it's much better than it was on DOS, when the whole machine had to be rebooted, not mentioning my ZX Spectrum, which i had to unplug if a game froze or loading error (after 5 minutes of waiting of course) etc... :)
