Hi,

Since I updated the game to 1.35, my game keep crashing whenever I try to start a game whether it is ironman or not.

My os is windows 10.
The game comes from steam.
I verified the game files, downloaded the game again, restarted my computer and cleared all mods I had.

The game was working previously.
Hope you can help me fix it.

I can't get my game to run either after updating to 1.35 and downloading the new DLC. It crashes after selecting a country and trying to start a new game.
I'm on Windows 11. I have no mods active, and all the following DLC's are active:
Domination, Lions of the north, Rights of man, Mandate of heaven, Cradle of civilization, Emperor, Dharma, Leviathan, Mare nostrum, The cossacks, Common sense, El dorado, Art of war, Res publica, Wealth of nations and Conquest of paradise.

Same issue. Games crashes after selecting a country and naming my save. Hourglass spins and then black screen and pop up. Also running Win 11

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-EU4
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add EU4.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam EU4 or Documents EU4 locations, before installing again.

Does that help any of you?

Ridiculous that I had to do this to play the dlc, but it worked
You may not have had to have done all of that, but I thought better safe than sorry.

Why are those stored locally anyway?
All game settings are stored locally ... I'm not sure what the alternative would be? In Steam, or something like that?
