I'm having the problem with non-working game again. Bought it via GOG.com. Previously I've been adviced to switch to older game wersion (1.3). I've tried this again - and it didn't help. Do you have any advice, besides waiting for next "fix"?
I've sent crash report every time I've tried to start a game - since two weeks. But this isn't enought for game to work.
Very frustrating :(

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/Imperator/pdx_settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/Imperator/logs/ folder, attach system.log , error.log

Thanks for answer. Game worked once on this computer. Then meander update came, and I have to use previous versions in order to make game working. Now - nothing helps. I'm attaching files, that you asked for.

Please update that nVidia driver:

If that doesn't help, I see you are getting bluescreens. Are they connected with trying to run this game, or something else is doing that?

Next time you get one please record the text on the blue screen, which will help point to the problem there.

I've updated drivers and restarted computer. Game isn't working again. Actually, I havn't seen any bluescreens - both connected with attempt to run game and others. After another try to run the game I've send crash report twice, few minutes ago. It seem's that something else needs to be done.

ps. I've reinstaled game. No effect :(

Check the Windows Event Viewer, they should be in there too in more detail.

And if you exit Galaxy and run imperator.exe directly from Windows Explorer, what happens when it fails now? Any Windows error show up then?

Well, there are surely some errors - becouse game won't start itself.
If run game as you told me, and still - it's not working. When I click the starting icon, launcher window appears. No matter if I choose to resume a game, or start a new one - after this I get the crash report instead of game.
I attach screen with errors report from Event Viewer. The two topmost are those, that occured today, when I try to start a game directly via windows explorer.

Maybe this information would be helpful?

I'm not sure I follow. If you run Imperator.exe directly, the launcher will not appear, it should go straight into the game.


Can I ask you to switch to English for that screenshot please? Being an image I can't run it through Google Translate.

I see you have our similar game CK2 also, does that work or have a problem also?
 
I've followed your advices, and:

1) I'm unable to locate imperator.exe file on my computer. When I try to find it, searcher directs me to the file in internet - gog galaxy.

2) I've change the language settings. Please look at the bottom error - sourced from the AppModel-Runtime. They are happening, when I try to start a game.

3) CK2 works without any problems. But I bought it (actually it was for free some time ago) form steam. And - unlike an imperator - I don't have any dlc's for it.

Please write, If you need any more info on this case, I'll try to provide it as soon as I can.

1) go to the folder where Galaxy installed the game, in there is a folder binaries - it's in there.

2) I can see the machine has has 46 of those errors in 7 days, but it tells us nothing about the actual event. Can you go into one of them to get more detail please

I found the file today in the morning. I've clicked it - without effect. Few minutes ago I've tried to prepare error raport. In order to get some report I've tried to start the game - and it worked! Then I launched it from gog galaxy - and it worked again! I've repeated it few times - wit positive results :)!!!
So - thank for your help, the problem is solved!
