why are some game folders in Spanish and some in English?

I am playing the game in English, so I should think that all the files as text documents would be shown in English.

This would be a good fix for the next revision too.

I can't find the events in english:(

As far as I know all the Developers are Spanish maybe a few other nationalities but English is not their primary language.

There are some events in English just not complete headings and those that came with IC are mainly Spanish because thats how they developed it. I am sure there will be a conversion process maybe not. Oh well gives me time to learn Spanish lingo though! :)

tigeriii, when we buy a game usually the first thing the game installer does is ask us what "language" we want the game to play in. when we select English, the game files should be translated to english files, at least that should happen to the "text files".

This isn't the first game that i have had from a country who's first langiage is not English. all those other games/mods once I choose English as the launguage of the game, then every file and folder is translated into english.

That is why we are bring this thing about the language up.

But yeah we do get to see more spanish words than "Cerveza Por favor", huh

I volunteered to help with the English translation a week ago. I'm about halfway through the events right now.

Halfway? Jesus, you work quickly, I've only worked through about 500 lines in the past couple of days. You're making me look bad :p

Hopefully you are not working on the same translation :/

One thing about developing software. It is bad habbit to write software in your native language rather than english. English is fallback and should always work. Especially in the source code, don't use var or functions in a language other than english.

I hope so too! At least the dev team made me start from line 4000, so I hope Deathfrombelow either hasn't got there yet, or he skipped a chunk for me to work on.....otherwise I think we'll both be annoyed :p

Modtext.csv? I just got up to around 4500. Maybe I should skip ahead and start working backwards from the end?

Crap, I've done from 4000 to 4800 xD

Yeah, best you skip ahead and work backwards from the end then, and I'll continue onwards to somewhere between 5000-6000, where I'll stop.

Respect for that DFB!

Wish I could help but bet there won't be a Danish version :)

Edit: and Walrus too

YEAH !!!! many many thanks to both DTB and Walrus for doing this for the game.

At least we have all learned something, I never thought that someone would write code in anything but ENglish seeing as that language has become the language of Business.

But hey, we do get to figure out what the Spanish versions of words in English that we would NEVER learn in any level of a Spanish language course LOL
