Game freezes

Playing CK with the latest patch using the The Prince and the Thane mod. Lately the game is freezing after playing around one year on my saves or if I start a new game in about 50 years the freezing comes back.

The error on the log is:

[texturehandler.cpp:169]: Couldn't find texture file: .
[texturehandler.cpp:169]: Couldn't find texture file: .
[texturehandler.cpp:169]: Couldn't find texture file: .
[texturehandler.cpp:169]: Couldn't find texture file: .
[texturehandler.cpp:169]: Couldn't find texture file: .

I already uninstalled, deleted all the data and paste from CK and reinstalled. Downloaded the latest driver for my video card. Set the master volume to 0 on settings.txt, saw this on other thread and tried it just for the sake of it. Any ideas of what I could do?

Edit: Sometimes "[sound.cpp:232]: Sound naval_battle_background not found" appears on the log too.

Those "errors" are normal and nothing to do with your problem.

If you only get the freeze in the mod you will have to ask the mod author for support, we can't help here I'm afraid. If you get it in vanilla too, let me know.

I see. Well, I formatted my HD and reinstalled everything, plus the mod got a new version. Gonna test it and see how it works.

I have the same problem in my own mod... What can be the reasons? Every time after some years of playing the game freezes. Or better... The time continues to run but I can't do anything. Thats strange...

What can be the reasons?

How long is a piece of string? There are any number of possibilities; you'll have to use standard diagnostic techniques to eliminate possibilities until you find the factor that triggers your problem.

At the start of the game I can play arrount 30 years. But If I start at a start date around 1200 It creash after some days or months. But I think I have found the problem... I have miss some provinces in the map. I test the game now and I think it work.
