The game starts okay, 40-60 fps, which is not good, but playable. Then after a couple of decades it slows down more and more. I can't finish a campaign, because it becomes unplayable by the 1880s. The game runs with 10-20 fps, and constantly crashes at random actions. For example when I'm trying to mobilise my troops for a war.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz (8 CPUs), ~4.0GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
Videocard: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

I tried my processor with both the factory default, and the OC suggested by intel(around 4.5ghz)

Dxdiag attached.

This is WAD. I got a 4790 which is virtually the same and the game just demands more than that old CPU can provide.
The 4790K is a Quadcore, the other 4 Cores are only simulated via "hyperthreading" which is why when you open your task manager all cores seem to be used to roughly 50%. It can not physically be higher than that, your CPU is maxed out.
The game just isn't playable on Quadcores.

My CPU is at 70-80% while running the game, so it still has some juice in it, but for some reason the game doesn't use it.
