Game hangs on black screen after launch in 1.11.0.1

Description​

As of update 1.11.0.1, after launching the game the screen turns black and hangs indefinitely until the program is manually ended or the "program is not responding" system dialogue appears. I have waited a significant amount of time and the game does not start. I suspect the issue has something to due with my laptop's graphics card (Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650), however this issue is new and did not occur in previous versions through 1.10.2. I even reverted the game version to be sure and 1.10.2 functions without issue. The issue does not affect my computer's AMD Radeon integrated graphics. I am running the native Linux version via Steam on Linux Mint, on an Acer Aspire 7 laptop.

Steps to reproduce​

On a system with Linux Mint and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card, attempt to play the game through Steam.
