I bought this game when it was released and isntantly hated all the lack of informaiton and crashes and almost asked for a refund but couldnt really find the time to ask for it, I tried it recently after the expansion and oh man has it changed, its rpetty amazing and fun atm, it is VERY complex so dont give up the first few minutes, it ahs many paths and complexities too read the first 20-30 turns tutorial on these forums and whenever you are in a game press ENTER that will open a chat that will allow you to ask quesitosn to the very helpful people there. Give it a try guys it will neatly surprise you.

Accourding to steam, i played Sots2 more than Bf3, 20 times more than any Total war game or CIV 5. The only game i can think of playing more than Sots2 is: X3 (but not currently) and Europa Universalis 3

According to Steam, i have :

26 hours logged on SoTS 2.
146 on Skyrim
156 on Civ 5
170 on CK2 (only Paradox game i have on Steam, i normally use GamersGate)
1059 on Empire: Total War :)

The amount of EU3 is uncountable for me :/. I am loving all those paradox games since i discovert HOI by accident lol

Anyway you must be a student as you have had way to many time ;)

I am 29 soon, and i have had enought of shooter and stuff. I like those unique games more nowadays. If you are really into space stuff check out "Kerbal Space Program" so unique, atleast i made it to moon :D

42 hours on sots 2, (282 on sots1). 492 on now defunct "global agenda" and the daddy of 941 on TF2. Oddly enough im sure ive played more E:TW than 182 hours suggests (and 28 on tropico 4 seems a bit low too).

I've got about 30 hours, most played game is ck2 with 250 hours. How the hell do you guys get >1000 hours? Thats 125 days of playing if I assume 8 hours a day (which is a lot). I'm a student that plays way too much, but the amounts you play sound crazy. Actually I'm more than a bit jealous ;) .

@Kastus; I'm soon to be 27 and the same happened to me. I never thought I could get enough of shooters but now I usually play paradox games or if its a shooter (like borderlands 2) I play it coop with friends. Games like farcry or call of duty n just don't interest me anymore.

Im an on call engineer. Most of my day is sat in a van in a layby playing games waiting for a call. Since we are contracted to fix things within certain timeframes I generally have weeks where I don't stop then times I have no work at all. The kids are a lot older now so I have a little more time to play too.

SotS Prime I had about ~600 hours into it over the past 6 years.

So far with SotS 2 I've got about 750 or so hours into it since it released a year ago. I've got two accounts with Steam, one has well over 300 hours, the other nearly 200 hours, and I've got about 2-300 hours playing it offline. :)

Too much time on my hands ? :)

ETW was released almost 4 years ago though, so its not quite as bad as it sounds (well, in all honesty maybe it is bad...lol) :D

Yeah thats not too bad - 250 hrs per year on avg. Im surprised though that someone plays a game of that long a period.... wait.... I played HoI for about that! :/

The longest Ive played a game on Steam is FO:NV - 450 hrs inc. DLCs. Doubt any game will get me up to that. Even Just Cause 2 took 260 odd.

If they gave out medals for dedication, you'd get 10! :D

Nah, I know at least a half dozen or more who have well over 1000 hours with SotS 2 and twice that with SotS Prime. lol I know many dozens more who have at least as many hours as I have, and dozens more with 500ish hours into it.

Only reason i played ETW so much was because of various mods, its kept me interested way past "normal".

Im kind of glad i dont have HoI 3 on Steam, i think the hours would scare me, hehe (and thats without mods, which is even scarier) :)
