Hello, so I started playing Stellaris again after a few months and the game speed is slow compere to what it used to be (for what I remember). I used to play with mods and on medium size galaxy and the game speed was fine until late-mid game and end game, but now it is very slow. So, I tried to reinstall game(even remove all game files -> for clean install), unsubscribe from all mods, I updated GPU drivers and checked game files, but nothing helped. The game is still running slow, even on small galaxy and 1 or 2 AIs. I don´t know what to do next. Does anybody had a same issue and if so how did you solve it? Can somebody help me please. Thanks for any help :).
My setup is: CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3800X; GPU - AMD Radeon RX 5700; RAM - 16GB
Plus I tried to measure how long it take to pass one year on small galaxy and without mods, with my problem on fastest speed -> 1:41 minutes

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere, and user_empire_designs.txt from /Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/ if you have made any custom empires or races.
- "uninstall" in Steam-Stellaris
- unsubscribe from ALL mods in the Steam workshop for this game
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Stellaris AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add stellaris.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular you need to make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Stellaris or Documents Stellaris locations, before installing again.

If that doesn't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

Hello, thank you for you support. I did full clean re-install according to your steps, but without any change.
It as well maybe just my imagination that the game is slow, but I´m not sure about that.
Here is DXDAIG, settings, system, error files, if you can find anything out of order:
thank you again, for your help.

GPU in °C: before - 50 -> after 54
CPU in °C: before - 60 -> after 64

Your C: drive is critically. low on free space, Windows like at least 10% free on the boot disk as elbow room. That may be preventing it paging unused apps out, for instance. See if you can free up another 20gb there.

I don't see any other obvious cause of slowness in those files. There are some crashes in the Radeon software but I doubt that is anything to do with it.

But are you running Catalyst, it may be 'managing' the game for you. Try unloading it if so.

I tried to measure how long it take to pass one year on small galaxy and without mods, with my problem on fastest speed -> 1:41 minutes
On my modest rig the first game year (small galaxy = 400 stars) passed in just under 1 minute.

Hello, so I freed up my C: up to 39.1/250 GB and nothing really change, so I don´t know. If you will have any other ideas it will be awesome, but thank you for your help. Anyway soon I will be re-installing my computer system, because I will be buying some new components, we will see if that will help, if so, I will let you know :). Thank you again for your help
and btw I make a mistake when I said small galaxy I really meant very small galaxy, so just to be clear -> on very small galaxy(200 stars) it took my game 1:41 minutes to pass one year
