Game keeps changing my flag after loading

So I start an Ironmade game with my created faction, no custom emblems mod. I play for a few years and I exit to menu, when I load up that game again, the game has changed my logo to something completely random, I have tried reinstalling the game and it still does it, why?

Also now that this has happened, I can no longer amend my created faction, it just crashes to desktop when I go to select the flag. I would attach the dump but your forum is telling me its too large to upload.

Can I get a refund please? this is unacceptable I've been playing Paradox games for nearly a decade and this is the worst release I've seen.

I think the hotfix must have messed this up. I did not have this problem until 1.03. Prior to that I had several customized races that kept their flags. I just hope they fix it back and maybe also just incorporate the 48 color mod.
