I own EU4, Imperator: Rome, and I've recently bought CK3. I've noticed a few other people have the same problem as me, the difference is I use a Mac. It's only with Paradox games, however its exclusive to Imperator and CK3, I don't have this problem with eu4 at all. The problem started only a few months ago with imperator (I've had the game since release), the screen will completely freeze/lockup and make a weird noise until I shutdown my Mac.
What have I done to try to fix this?
I've validated files, uninstalled Imperator, deleted almost all the files except saves, then re installed. My problem still persists. It was manageable though and I thought it was related to the save itself. Also I'm far from an expert, but my computer completely meets the requirements for Imperator. Now, I haven't even started a game yet and the problem has now followed me to CK3. It only takes a couple of minutes of being in the menu for the freezing to occur. I know it's not the best to play games on Macs, but the one I have is fairly new and updated to a current version of MacOS.
