Game keeps on crashing, within 15 minutes

Description​

Every time I play, the game crashes after a short while, usually within 15 minutes. It closes with a short red screen. It seems to happen more often when opening a character. I have not been able to play a game longer than 15 minutes since yesterday evening.
The crashing started yesterday after playing for a couple of hours, then suddenly it started crashing all the time. I installed a DLC package consisting of Garments of the HRE, Elegance of the Empire, Legacy of Persia, Tours and Tournaments, Wards and Wardens yesterday, but it did not start crashing immediately after the install.

Yesterday, I deleted all files, and installed the whole game anew. I started a new game, but the crashing keeps happening.
I have also tried disabling the DLC, but that does not help.

Steps to reproduce​

Playing the game, and after a while it will crash.
