Hello my game keeps randomly crashing within the 40-60 minute mark. sometimes it freezes and the music keeps playing while other times it immediately closes the game.
I have tried to play completely vanilla No Mods DLC. and even used premade species and default game rules. low resolution. low settings. I have reinstalled the game varified files. even reinstalled windows. Nvidia drivers and windows up to date. nothing fixes it. I have more than 200 hours in the game and before a couple of weeks ago i could play normaly without crashes.
Can someone tell me how I fix this

Right-click on stellaris.exe, properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullscreen optimizations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply, and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select the fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, refresh rate 60.

Then test with a new unmodded galaxy, NOT any existing one.

If that doesn't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

Could`t find any exceptions log

is this enough information or do you really need the Exceptions log?

We see some crashes in stellaris.exe in that dxdiag, so it is a little surprising there is no exceptions log.

After. a crash, can you reload and play on? Or do you need to wait or reboot?

What fps do you see in the game before it crashes? Anything over 60?

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 30 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

Tried to load crashed game save. but crashed again after a bit more than 10 seconds later. did`t look at fps when crasht. but right now i got a solid 600 fps I did change my settings to 60 HZ. but it doesn`t limit my fps. i can`t find any option in game to limit my fps to 60

Error code 0xC0000374 translates as STATUS_HEAP_CORRUPTION

In other words, something has run amok in the data memory area of the game. Changing values on memory locations it had no business changing. Some of these memory changes have changed the control structure the memory manager uses to keep track of which blocks of memory are in use, and which are not. And when the memory manager (either during the allocation or freeing of a block of memory) detects this, it throws this particular exception.

So, in this case an exception log would be utterly useless, because the point at which the fault occurs is not the same as the point at which it (much later) is actually detected.

Does this happen with only one particular save game, or does it also happen when you start a fresh, new game?

Setting the refresh rate to 60 ought to limit the fps to 60 also. How you are getting to 600 I cannot understand - is perhaps GeForce Experience running? If so it may be overriding the settings we did before.

And, as your Windows desktop is 60hz you are okay to turn Vsync on for this game again. That really should limit it!

We see temps up to 77c there, perilously close to the 80c mark where things can start going seriously wrong. We need to get that down!

Setting the refresh rate to 60 ought to limit gp
the reason for high fps was becasue Vsync was tunred off. turned on 60 fps. turned off 1000+ fps in menu.

and also for Temp Google says this: Intel® Core™ i7-13700K Processor supports up to 100°C and any temperature below it is normal and expected.
As far as I know its hot running
