Game launches in the top left of screen with only part of the game available

As it says in the title, my game launches in the top left of my screen. I can only access the left part of the single-player and multiplayer options (so it just says 'single' and 'multi' with the rest of the words getting cut off). I've tried reinstalling the game which didn't work. The two buttons I can access work fine but aren't of much help. I've had previous problems with paradox games after the EU4, HoI4 and Stellaris launcher updates but those were all resolved after some messing around in settings which i'm unable to do here.
The problems may be caused by my use of a 1920x1080 resolution on a 3840x2160 screen.
Any help on fixing this problem would be appreciated.

I will guess you are on a Mac with MacOS 10.15.x .

If so: This is a problem in Catalina that has affected those games, plus other unrelated games. Until and unless Apple put out a fix, there really isn't much you can do except to juggle resolutions and display modes until it works acceptably on your hardware.

Why is that, sorry? If it is just because this game does not have a launcher where you can change those settings, you can do the same things by directly editing documents/paradox/ck2/settings.txt

I'm on PC actually, sorry for missing this on my post. Hope this helps at all!

With the settings.txt, I don't actually seem to have that file, even when searching for it through the windows search function. This might just be a failure on my end though.

Don't rely on Windows search, better use the File Explorer and check directly.
If you get to the main menu of the game, then you have a settings.txt.

When found I'd suggest to change borderless and fullscreen form yes to no or the other way round.
Alternatively you could also try to check “Disable Full Screen Optimizations” in properties-compatibility for the CK2game.exe and see if that helps.
Just my suggestions.
