Everytime I load the game it crashes exactly on 2230.12.05

I'm familiar with modding and save game editing so I tried trouble shooting the issue myself, but unless my math is wrong I am unable to find any event with countdown ticker that would land on that exact date, and I tried adding and subtracting from the estimated date by a few days.

I have no idea if its related to a specific event.

The symptoms are fully identical to this post, including his screenshots, which seems to remain unresolved:

I've went ahead and attached the same files that was requested in the other thread.

What I am aware of is the AI was prepping to declare war against me, it's been a while now, but I have no idea if the AI is supposed to make a decision/take action on that date that might be causing the conflict. I'm not familiar with how the save file keeps track of AI turns or planned invasion dates.

Yes, unfortunately that other user stopped responding for some reason, so unresolved.

You say your symptoms are identical, but they reported the problem happened after 15 minutes of play, not on a given date. Which is why I asked for temperatures.

I don't play or develop this game, so I don't know any of that either I'm afraid.

Is that just one particular galaxy, or any one you play now?

30 years might be difficult to speedrun to double check but I'm pretty sure its safe to say its that particular save/galaxy. I just started this save last night and I've had 2 other runs in the past few days that went well beyond that date.

I strongly suspect its either an event or some kind of AI decision/process that is queued to that exact date, but I don't even have enough information to take the bug report route because using these details would end up being a nonsense nonactionable bug report.

For Stellaris, there are certain events that are seeded/determined upon game start. It just might be possible that a particular randomized/seeded event is bugged which might explain why this isn't happening for every single game. However, even this hypothesis would be impossible to confirm without knowing what to look for.

If this save is unmodded, it is almost certainly a bug - best to make a new thread in Bug Reports and attach it there.

If you are after help in editing that bug out of the save, ironically User Mods is probably your best bet!

I've been running into reliable hangs on a given day, though the day changes by galaxy (I've had 3 so far, between 2230 and 2250), it always occurs on the exact same day (at least, even if I rewind a year)

I had thought it was my mods on those playthroughs, but I will try an unmodded game.

The annoying part is since it's not crashing I can't get any useful information out of it; it just goes into the blank white void of who knows what it's thinking about.

Edit: Probably important to note: It's not crashing on a month-tick. I don't remember if they were all on the same day, but the one that I do remember the day for was the 14th

Edit 2: What empire settings are you running? I suspect it might be an issue with an origin.

Voidborne. I would hate it if its an origin problem because its the most unique one that i haven't done start to finish.

Agree, it hangs, i've opened up the task manager to watch the memory and processing - it's not actually doing anything, and if i go shower and come back the memory usage actually DECREASES eventually down to zero and remain spinning/hanging. It wont self terminate.
