"Game Not Found" connecting to host

trying to connect to host's game in vicky MP, i get error saying game is not found at the specific ip addy of the host. also, no one can connect to a game i host. i have 1.03c. also, i get same warning when i try direct connect. i have unblocked vicky in the windows firewall thing that comes w/ sp2.

my system specs are xp w/ sp2, 1.6 amd, 1gig ram, 128mb geforce 5200 fx

firewall/router not set correctly. some or all of the ports vicky needs are blocked.

i have the windows firewall that comes w/ sp2, but i have vicky picked as unblocked. outside of that, im not sure what or how to open the ports i need. can anyone explain what i need or what i need 2 do?

sorry you couldn't make it...
I run the same setup, firewall wise w/ the exeption, and it is fine for me. Have you tried disabling the entire SP2 firewall? Do you have any other firewalls, like part of a router equipment? If i see ya on ICQ, we can test sometime

ill log on to icq as often as i can to hopefully be able to test some different setups w/ you. i appreciate the offer. i really want to get it worked out as i'm dying to play some multi-player. i dont have any routers, so that cant be it. i have verizon DSL internet hookup that i have connected through my ethernet. that is only other bit of info i can think of that might be of any use
