Game not launching because config file cannot be found.

Moin moin,

I just installed Prison Architect on my new laptop, and i cant launch it because it cannot find the config file. There is no preference.txt in the folder where it was supposed to be.

Please try this:

- uninstall PA from Steam
- unsubscribe from all mods in this game's Steam Workshop

Delete the following folders if still present:

- Steam/SteamApps/common/PA
- C:/users/{UserName}/AppData/Local/Introversion/Prison Architect/
(keep any valued save games, of course)
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

Now install PA again and see how that goes please!

IF still a problem, Please attach here the game log C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect\debug.txt

AND DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
