60FPS constant, my overlay freezes also when the game does because of the way it overlays it freezes if the app its overlaying on freezes
What overlay is that, sorry? Can you disable it, whatever it is?

You can see all the things we've looked at and tried in this thread, and all the info we've asked for ... please go through all that. Thanks.

I've done everything in this thread. Everything i s fully updated. I even went out and invested in a SSD HD and 16GB ram.

Attached are the required files.

I'm averaging 50 fps

I only started using it when you asked for my fps, it's MSI afterburner overlay
hmm, okay then. Can you unload that MSI afterburner app entirely? It did cause problem to some of our earlier games, although not like this.

And that made no difference at all? Interesting.

What frame rates are you seeing? What GPU and CPU temperatures? If you disable autosave does that make any difference?

I only got it after I started having the issues, I have no overlays on except geforce experience which is made to not cause issues with games
I had this problem but it was freezing every couple of hours or so. Looked at the graphics settings and they were mostly high - which surprised me as I'm running an old i5 8GB RAM and a GTX750. I tried turning down most of the graphics settings from high to medium ish (and changed to windowed running - don't think that is relevant) and the crashes stopped.

The changes to graphics make no noticeable difference to game enjoyment. I'm wondering if for some reason the default settings for NVidia cards are too optimistic?

I don't think so, if I can run red dead 2, and on decent settings with no frame drop, my PC should not have one single issue running a semi 3d game, and I've already tried graphical changes

your crashes seem to indicate ntdll.dll is crashing the game which is concering

Have you run a full windows update on the system? I'd run it manually and check if there are any errors in the installation

I am steady around 50 fps, and my GPU temp is around 48-58 degrees and the CPU is 50-60 degree.

disabled autosave, but I havn't had any loss when it saved in the cloud or on the HD

I'm curious is your My Documents folder, on a spinning drive? And do you have your hard drive sleep set aggresively? Bit of an out of the box theory is that the drive is spinning down, and then when the autosave kicks in, it takes time to spin up the drive causing the hiccup? This might be more of an issue on "green" drives

No my document files are on the SSD.

Looks like this has become low on the priority list, predictable Edit: im sorry this response was so rude but im quite frustrated as im sure you could understand, the only step i could think to do was reset windows installation but i dont want to do that as it deletes a giant portion of my apps

Sorry, I had dropped the ball here. That said I have no idea what else to suggest for you.

Can I get new copies of the text files from before please, including error.log

And please install and run the fre utility Speccy. Send its output to a text file and attach that here, thanks.

Well you sure have a bunch of stuff going on there! Sorry for the long list, but I could see any one of these utilities and apps possibly causing this. I've bolded the ones I think are most likely to be the issue:

C:\ProgramData\BlueStacks\Client\Helper\BlueStacksHelper.exe
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Discord\app-0.0.307\Discord.exe
D:\EPIC LAUNCHER\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Binaries\Win64\EpicGamesLauncher.exe

C:\Program Files\FreeDownloadManager.ORG\Free Download Manager\fdm.exe
C:\Program Files\FreeDownloadManager.ORG\Free Download Manager\winwfpmonitor.exe

D:\VivePort\VIVE\PCClient\Vive.exe
D:\VivePort\VIVE\PCClient\ViveportDesktopService.exe

See if you can unload or kill all of those processes, it will be interesting to see which of them is causing this to you!

It would be strange if any of these caused an issue as it hasn't with any other games, even other paradox ones, if it does turn out to be, Vive, Epic, Discord or Bluestacks I unfortunately will not be unloading any of those permanently so I may just have to leave CK3 for the time being, if I can find Wich one of these apps is the issue If any I will notify you

Please do; if it is something like Discord we'd have to consider that a game problem I think - although it doesn't seem likely you are th eonly person here running Discord!

I suspect it is more likely to be one of those other less common apps.

Yes maybe it's Vive? Yet it also doesn't seem likely I'm the only person who owns a Vive VR headset that plays this game also and, apologies but I won't be be at home this week so I can't test the issue, it was a last minute thing, but I will be back next week and can test the issue, although I may be able to test it during the week the chances of that are low
