Game randomly "not responding" every 30 seconds

Hello,

As stated in the title, I just launched the game and tried the tutorial, but since the very first second on main menu, the game tends to freeze every 30 seconds and when I check it in task manager it's labelled as "not responding", then it lets me play normally for 30 seconds, then again not responding etc...
Someone has an idea about where it could come from ?

I can confirm this as well. Its not every 30 seconds. It freezes the game game for around a min. Then unfreezes. Otherwise everything is running fine.

After multiple setting changes and game reboots, I actually rebooted my computer and it fixed it, apparently. So if anyone has the same issue...

I have a feeling that might not fix it. I caused mine to happen by Alt-Tabbing so if I do it again, it could come back. I haven't seen any other game have an issue like that in a long time.

I've had this issue happen at times as well. A pause for 15 to 20 seconds, some random slowdowns.

I want to see it happened most, while I was in war and a tutorial tip popped up and i clicked on the tip while battles were going and I was trying to zoom around the map. I thought, I was going to crash. I finally closed tutorial and zoomed in on map and turned down speed to 1 for a bit. Then everything seemed ok.




I7 8700k processor, 16GB Ram, 2080 TI.

Not for me. Restarting computer does work. Game opens smooth. Then after awhile it starts freezing again. Loads super slow.

Add. Do not know if its relevant. When the game freeze then unfreezes after like a min. In window mode, its almost like the screen resolution shrinks and theres a bar like space on the right side, and a black bar on the bottom. When it unfreezes the Resolutions goes back to normal.

I can not figure out why this happens. It happens while startup, on the title screen, and in the game. If in full screen mode it would appear the game crashed. White screen ex. I would assume the people having crash at startup might be the same thing.

Reinstalled just about everything lol. Also, when the game is not freezing. Best performance ever out of any paradox game I have installed. Great job on that.

If anyone is having this issue, please try unplugging your USB keyboard (and probably mice too) and plugging them back in. I was seeing similiar problems from time to time and re-inserting my keyboard seems to snap me out of it.
