Hello everyone.
I just bought Europa Universalis IV and when I am in game I experience small lags. I played the tutorial and when I tried to move a ship I noticed it.
My PC meets the recommended requirements. I have 16 gb of ram and 2 gb of vram.

Is it on this certain patch? Will there be a fix soon?

Current patches are not as fast as the game was 3 major matches ago, but faster than they were 2 major patches ago when this problem first occurred! The basic problem is the developers added too many new provinces, and optimisation done since then has not fully been able to compensate for that.

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .

Hello again. There are the files. I know I my system does not have a gpu but I am running this game at 1280x960 and I get 28 fps, while running GTA V at 1680x1050 gets me more fps. It is really weird.

Raw fps numbers are not very important in a non-action game like this. But if you get stuttering that's a problem of course.

My PC meets the recommended requirements.
I'm afraid your integrated Vega 8 video system is well below the minimum requirement, the AMD® Radeon™ HD 5850:

And your AMD Ryzen 3 3200G CPU is only just above the minimum there, the AMD® FX 4300.

You can try going into the game's video settings and turn off trees, city sprawl, shadows, reflections, ambient objects, terrain in uncolonised, and units on minimap. Does that make any difference for you?

It is still unplayable. The game optimization is really bad because on the system requirements it says 1gb vram and I have 2gb vram. At least it should run smoothly at lowest resolution with everything off. Sadly I can not refund the game but it is okay. Thank you for the help.

It's not the amount of Vram that is your issue, but your video card processor hardware. And as I say your CPU is barely above the minimum.

Our games are simply not tested on hardware that is below the published minimums, I'm afraid!
