Game will not start

Hi, I am having trouble getting the game to start. Firstly when installing the game it takes ages; it runs ok at the start but when the bar is full it was about an hour until it closed.

When I tryed to play the game I get an message saying:

'C:Users\Jimmy\Local\Microsoft\Windows\GameExplorer\{056B7051-FE5...\Play.Ink

The application has failed to startbecause its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail. '

My computer is up to spec. and I am running vista. I have also installed patch 3.
I have looked for my log to post as you have adviced others to do but it is not where you said it should be.

Have you tried to launch the game straight from eastindia.exe in the installation folder? It could be a problem with Games Explorer

Yea I did that no luck. I also had a go at step one of the FAQs but that didn't work too.

Been having the same issue here. Game worked fine, then after having to re-install Vista, it gives me a runtime error on the VC++ and crashes. Emailed the tech support but in two weeks, no response

It's great, you shell out money for a game, it doesn't work and there is no help line to call or email just a forum where you wait for ages to get a one line reply that doesn't work
