Game won't start on vista, Patch 2.01 Beta

Hello

I've had Crusader kings and Deus vult on my old xp machine but decided to install it on my newer vista machine. Game starts up fine but after selecting country and clicking start, the screen goes black. On using task manager (alt+tab) I notice a window named "fatal error".
It says: ***Unhandled exeption detected!
Adress: 0x04543D6A
And there is a button named "ok". When I click this, the game shuts down.
Tried changing compability mode to xp, wich was of no use. Help needed.

Im taking it for granted that you have the latest patch.

Are you running the game using an account with administrator priviledges?

Yes, the latest beta patch, and I am running as administrator.

EDIT: Just looked through some post in the bug reporting section and found some similiar problems, and have now renamed the avi folder and everything seems to run fine.
