I can open the launcher but the game crashes a few seconds after I press Play

Also Andrew, I have played this for 12 hours previously prior to Ventura update. I feel its probably working for other players. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the games. did everything but no luck. Super annoyed I paid 90 dollars for this game and I still cant play it even though it was working fine.

What happens if you run Victoria3.app directly from Finder?

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/pdx_settings.json .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.

I don't follow that, sorry! Finder can show you files on an external disk just the same as on an internat one ... ?!?

Ok regarding that yes, and when I opened the game file throughVictoria 3> Launcher> dowser, launcher opens but when I press play. The game before even loading crashes and I get an error report request which I need to send. I have used the proper Steam method too nothing works.

Just to be 100% clear, running Victoria3.app does start the game up okay? It is only running it from the launcher that causes problems?

And, look in System Settings, Privacy & Security, Files and Folders. Is the launcher allowed to access the Documents folder there?

Hi Andrew, I cannot find Victoria3.app in any places, neither on MAC or extSSD. The only way I can run is with launcher there seems no other alternative.

Right click on this game in your Steam Library, manage, browse local files. Finder will show you the Steam folder where the game is; double click on /binaries/ to see that app.

I see no particular problems in those launcher logs; it hasn't been re-installed for nearly a year but we might keep that step up our sleeve for the time being.

Look in System Settings, Privacy & Security, Files and Folders. Is the launcher allowed to access the Documents folder there?

Launcher can access the folder.

I also just tried to use the Victoria.app file, crashes immediately

However, good news, I deleted Paradox Interactive files from Documents on Mac HDD, and then reinstalled Victoria 3, it works fine now. This tip will be helpful for those who are facing the same problem. But all prior saved files are lost. So warning others before using this strategy.
