I am using Macbook Pro with macOS Mojave 10.14.6. I am able to launch the game via launcher but as soon as I get to the start screen for a new game or tutorial, the game kinda freezes. I am able to move the hand cursor around but nothing is clickable. I have to force quit to get out. The start button is highlighted but nothing happens when I click on it.
I changed the accessibility settings for the game and checked the box under security and privacy settings > privacy> accessibility. I also tried full screen and windowed mode. Both had same issue. I dont have any mods installed and I bought the game today and it is a fresh install.

Also I have other paradox games installed which I am able to play just fine --> CKII and EU4.

I am willing to share other details if needed.

please see the screenshot on windowed mode. I cant do anything on this screen as the clicks are not working in the windowed mode or the fullscreen mode.

Most likely this is a resolution issue. Set the game to the same resolution as your Mac desktop, in the game launcher.

Good luck with that!

Nope, still not working after setting the native resolution of 2880X1800 in the launcher. Unable to click anything still as soon as I get to the start game screen.

It is the same problem that a lot of people have in the "Livy crashes: Mac OSX A0.15.1" topic. It seems that a lot of people experiment the same "fatal freeze" on Mac regardless of the version of the OSX. :/

I downloaded the game for the free week, having never played it, but I'm having the same problems people on Mac seem to be getting (game starts, but crashes when starting a new game). I have read all the recent threads on the tech forum looking for answers. I have tried every single thing proposed on the forums in trying to fix it (the "deleting folders trick", etc) and nothing works.

I found a "compromised" solution by falling back to the 1.2 patch in the "BETAS" tab, and it works. I can play the game, but obviously in the 1.2 older state.
So there is obviously something wrong on the new patch that is creating problems for Mac users.
