What can you recommend as a good headset with a built in mic? I have a bygone set and its crap. Anything must be better than this.

Thanks,

Mark

One small benefit of being deaf is that you save money on headsets and other sound-related stuff.

So I will answer none.

I just got a "HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset" and I really like it

I have that one, except the cheaper 3 5 mm audio version, and I like it a lot. It's very durable, good quality and relatively inexpensive. I kept getting annoyed by having to replace wireless headsets.

I've been using the Logitech h390 for several years now. Has an on cable mute and volume switch too. As someone with friends using headsets, USB headsets are far preferred to 3.5mm jacks.

SADES A7 7.1 Gaming Headset.

I use it for all my gaming and YouTube channel videos. It's comfortable, the mic is exceptional (and noise cancelling) and you get virtual 7.1 surround sound with the cans.

100% recommend.

EDIT :- Oh, it's USB too.

I have a SteelSeries Siberia 200. Great Stuff, comfortably to wear even after several hours, good sound (both headphones and micro) and you can push the microphone into the left earpiece to disable it or for transport.

I love my Logitech g430's good sound and really comfortable.

I used a Logitech G430 for 4 years, but didn't really like it; it was always uncomfortable to wear for longer than 2 hours, and I always felt the headset there on my ears. My ear lobes are pretty sensitive, and honestly for a $40 headset I didn't ask much more, and in general over the last 15 years I found most headsets even in the $80 range uncomfortable. I just assumed that I wasn't built for headsets.

However my G430 recently died, and so I got a Razor Kraken Pro v2 ($60-80 range) a week and a half ago, and holy shit, it feels amazing. I can game with them for 7 hours and not even feel it on my ear lobes. The sound is also a bit better, and G430 wasn't bad in the sound area.

I highly recommend the razor kraken pro v2 if you value comfort over price. It just feels so good sitting over the ears.

Sennheiser are the best. I use the PC 363D, but they are pretty much all great.

Their build quality is over the top and the sound well... Sennheiser is an audiophile headphone company. The mic is awesome too.

The comfort of Sennheiser headsets is also excellent. Can use it without limit, 12-15 hours in a day, never reminded of its presence.

Astro 50 here. As a headset it's perfect, I can't find defects for it. It even work on linux somehow. But if it were just for grand strategy games I would had probably brought something cheaper i.e. without the digital 7.1 stuff.

HyperX Cloud II: Super comfortable and can be used on PS4 Xbox One and PC. I've had mine for 3 years and it's still in perfect condition after using it almost every day. I've done marathon gaming sessions with those on and the ears ever hurt.
