Just realized i never use Garrisons properly, as these can not move even at a miserable 1 km/h speed. You need to garrison with both the GAR and another unit.

They can not attack partisans at all. Is an old affair imho totally un-realistic, if a partisan pops in an area with 10 garrisons nearby, nothing can be done. Unlock the restrain, at least give the option to do it, and move speed 2 is useful.

Agreed, Garrisons should be able to attack partisans just like any other unit (albeit more slowly perhaps).

Well, I think it should be able to move, even at 0.5 km/h - having to strat. redeploy them puts my TC to red...
Not very realistic, as Germany for example, having all the trains overcrowded by moving 5 GAR?
They were walking hundreds of kms IRL. Slow, but not using TC!

Just put them to "Anti-partisan" mission and garrisons (as any other land unit on this mission) will attack any partisans that could pop-up in neighboring provinces. Once the attack succeeds and province is reclaimed, the unit will auto-return to its home province. Works like that since HoI2

Unfortunately, that is not the way it works. Garrisons cant attack nearby units in Anti Partisan. All the others can, UNLESS the Garrison ones. Even the new Capitol or Region HQs can.

Garrisons are mostly useful to reduce the TC load, and yo reduce the chance partisans pop, but they cant destroy partisans, unless they pop exactly on same place as they are.
