When I was on a ck Korean chat group today, I noticed some people are experiencing a difficuty to distinguish the gender of characters.
In fact, I have a same issue with CK2(Some children portraits).
I think it can be a nice feature to display not only characters' sexaul orientation but also their gender.

Yeah, I agree. This might sound odd, but I think a big problem is the face model for many of the women characters. After playing a bit, it's like the female model head has too big of a jaw line on too many models. It's makes their faces more squared off and dare I saw more "masculine" looking. Somehow I'm concerned even pointing this out. Oh well... the male characters are often much more stereotypically "attractive" than the female characters. On purpose?

I definitely can't tell what my kids are until they grow up a bit.

Some people are saying women are too masculine but I don't agree with that.

I think the women are definitely too masculine overall, almost in a satirical way. I would like it to be a diverse mix but now that doesn't seem to be the case.

I came here just to post this very thing - I spent about five minutes with the game paused trying to find this. It's absolutely staggering to me that something like this managed to slip through the beta - some of the very young kids (or slim people in armor) are extremely hard to distinguish and it doesn't tell you their gender.

Please add this ASAP, Paradox!

I made a tiny mod that might help:

[mod] Gender color icons

Just a very simple mod that shows blue for male and pink for female ( I know ;) ) and says male/female. Install Extract here: \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod Then add in the Launcher mod manager. Update: V3 Time colors...
