Somehow I'm not explaining to you clearly enough what I want, which is nothing to do with logging in. Let me try again.

As I understand it you've been able to find the launcher logs, here:
C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/

Is that right? You see files in there that end in .log ?

If so, I need to read those files. Simply drag and drop them onto a post you are writing here. OR zip up that entire folder and drop it on your next post here.

Or is it that you ARE doing that but they do not appear here? If that is the situation, I don't know what is causing it, but perhaps you could make them available to me in some other way, such as a Google Drive or Dropbox link.

Here's the log file attempt:
I tried to send you the files that end with .log; but when I got into that, it didn't mention any files that ended with that; really at all.
And it was in the logs file that I just searched, the attach files option didn't work at all to loading any of those files.

Most likely your Windows is set to not show file extensions. In File Explorer click on View up the top. Tick the two boxes File Extensions and Hidden Items.

You should see the .log files clearly then.

Actually; no, I *have* the file extensions available; but for some reason the ability to do as you've asked didn't exist.

Well, without those logs I cannot help you. I can't understand what could be wrong in your Windows to prevent you being able to get them to me! I get them here from other users every day ...

Can I see a screenshot of that C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/ folder in File Explorer please?

Can you perhaps get some local help with that?

Well, first of all; the 'advice' you've claimed you would need to give is useless *at best* as the events herein have proven.
Second; no, it is NOT necessary for me to give you any screen-shot nor any logs; as the site *here* wouldn't permit them to be sent; and the repairing of the steam library solves the problem, simple as that, but to uninstall it is *worthless at best* and it doesn't repair the problem at all.

Hey I'm having the same issue. I deleted the folder containing the Paradox launcher after deinstalling it, deleted local CK3 files, restarted and reinstalled everything but the error persists

edit: added all my logs

The exact same "general error" as the OP here had 4 years ago?

We see no significant errors in those logs.

What happens if yourun C:\Users\Karim\AppData\Local\Programs\Paradox Interactive\launcher\launcher-v2.2024.14\Paradox Launcher.exe directly from File Explorer, both a a normal Windows user and as Admin?

Ahh jeez apologies, I didn't properly read the OP. I don't have the exact same issue, but I get a general error screen on tha launcher whenever I try to open my playset or all installed mods. I can run the game fine, the launcher has auto-selected no mods as the playset, but whenever I try to access anything mod-related in the launcher it crashes. I already tried (in addition to the above) de-subscribing from all of them and re-subscribing, but I didn't do anything.

Anyways, I tried finding the launcher executable in the local Paradox folder, but I can't find it. My path also looks different than the one you sent. I attached screenshots.

It is different - you missed the /Programs/ folder that's in my path. The .exe is under that.

As to the mod issue, Please try the following:

- unsubscribe from all mods in BOTH the Steam Workshop and the Paradox mod site mods.paradoxplaza.com
- delete the folder Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/mod/
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/mods_registry.json (if present)
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/launcher-v2.sqlite (if present)
- run the game up and check the launcher is okay with no mod or other errors
- subscribe to a few mods

- run the game up and see if those mods work now.

I hope that does it for you!
