That is rare that there are no hordes of ComChi in front of your forces (or maybe I have just forgotten if you had destroyed them earlier).

Nice update... I like the more detailed style

Good going on the fronts. You got lucky the ComChi spread out a bit, this does give you a real chance to sack them along with the other Chinese factions. Speaking of which, are you at war with all of them already?
Anything in particular you could write about the navy? Are you using them for shore bombardment or their planes for ground support as well?

Would it be possible for you to include a larger picture of the state of affairs in China? It would help me to appreciate the progress, thanks.

Yes, please

Thank you for the update. As noted above I suggest that you have a strategic view screenshot of the bigger picture at the start/end/both of the updates to put the close up pictures in context. However, I commend you on the great description of the progress of the campaign. Everything is continuing to go to plan.

I am at war with all the Chinese factions. I will probably make a diary entry in not too long, I can give naval details in that :)

I am curious about that too.

I will include a strategic view on the war at the end of each update :)

Ah, yes, a strategic overview would be nice. In any case, great updates. I like the format a lot and Japan is always interesting since you get a good taste of land, naval, and air combat.

Agreed, that I find un playing with Italy toó, though it's quite harder todo defeat those stubborn Brits in África than in East Asia

Diary entry 13, August 2nd 1937

The war with China is now dragging into its second month. I am happy with our progress, especially the trapping of large groups of enemy divisions in northern China. I expect that the next months will see us move further in as the enemy defense seems to be weakening with every passing day.

China will not be able to receive substantial western aid as our navy has blocked off every port they have. The Chinese have tried a few breakout attempts, but as they lack battleships, carriers and heavy cruisers they stand no chance against our navy.

(Our marines are pounding their way through a makeshift Chinese line.)

The marines around Shanghai has also expanded the beach head and they are pressing further inland. The Chinese forces in the region are mostly comprised of ill equipped militia who stand no chance against our well trained soldiers.
I was talking to general Ishiwara a few days ago and he had been told by a rear admiral that in a battle around Huzhou 618 Chinese men lost their lives against 50 of our men.

The next weeks will show how we can exploit our advantages. Operation Cherry blossom draws to an end as nearly all the objectives have been fulfilled already. I will call together my generals again and a new plan will be designed so that China can be brought to its knees. I still possess an army in Korea that have not yet been landed. I am not yet sure whether to land it in Shanghai to help the marines, or to establish a new beachhead somewhere else.

Another beachhead! Try to knock out one of the Chinese factions if you can. What other forces can bring to the party?

If you check out page 3, the army on this post "2nd Report, October 12th 1936" is the army I have in reserve.

nice, finally an update! hope that bridgehead allows you to capture more chinese divs

Sorry, missed that one. Still, another front will cause havoc among the Chinese (AI). They seem to struggle to respond to the SNLF landing, opening more fronts will surely be a moral blow.

No worries; you'll win this fight either way :D

Yeah, sorry about lack of updates, just so damn fine weather outside. I will probably go for another bridgehead.

No problem man :) I agree with you.

Most likely yes, but less us pretend not xD

Another beach landing should cause all kinds of confusion for the Chinese. It is good to see you back.

Nice update. Glad your back. How many troops you land in China so far? Nice photo of those SNLF guys with their mortar.
