I checked this out some time ago and the German leaders have now new file names. No more L1, L2 etc. You'll find them in db\leaders\german.csv.

Okay, not trying to be an ass, but can someone explain to me why this was done, especially when all of the old "L" pics are still present? I don't understand. I can't even sort them by nationality anymore because the GER is tacked on at the end of the file name. I know there are workarounds for that, like a search for GER within the folder, but still...

Rename every file? Okay, maybe I won't update it. Thanks.

It maybe isn't such a big job. You can with Excel overwrite the picture names column in "db\leaders\german.csv" simply by copying those from the original Arma "db\leaders\german.csv". The new leaders are at the end of AoD's file so all the old leaders should AFAIK be at the same lines as before. Just don't delete the picture names of those new AoD leaders ;)

That's a good question and I don't like it too.

There are also new leaders somewhere in between, so be carefull.

I did see some new additions at the bottom but couldn't recall if they were ARM or new AoD. I'll look it over, thanks for this tip.

hi

its actually me who was sending those files to the davs last september.
actually it was meant to help you guys finding the right persons by adding the very original name and deleting fakes.

i admit that the initial modding is more work than before, but the end result will be more reliable than Arm ever was.

that is for Arm Mods which use Moddir, also you can simply drop in your Arm CSV and everything will be as before.

just a short info: i deleted appr 35 leaders, but the pics should still be there and you can see all eg germans by searching for "_ger" in the pic folder (or "_ita" respectively).

EDIT: i irst tried to correct it with the usual L-numbers but that was impossible in the long run.

you to let you know, the former "Admiral" Hickmann:

... an austrian aviator from ww1

the german minister "Fritz Tornow", who was historically the doggy handler of Blondi, has been deleted completely, btw.

Got it, thanks. Yes, your naming system is actually a huge help since you no longer have to consult the leader file for identification. I just wish Paradox had thought of it. I'm going to convert the pack, just might take me a while.

they had a system like that back in hoi1 times, but when hoi2 came out they switched. just in case you have hoi1, you should install it, even if you only want to know who is who (but even then, you have a lot of mistakes like the german/austrian leader "Schaffarz" / (L2728) who is actually "von Jansa" so googling "Schaffarz" will lead you nowhere + tons more of this crap).
