After forming Germany how are you supposed to survive? It is an instant 50 badboy, and Britain followed by my 63 year ally Russia go to war with me.

After forming Germany how are you supposed to survive?
Losing a war does not mean the end of the game by any means, especially for a country as powerful as Germany. It can often make the game more interesting. Make peace, conceding what you must, and plan a war of revenge! In a game as Russia I was suddenly attacked by Germany while engaged against other enemies and I ended up conceding most of Poland to bring a quick end to the war. But in the next one Germany became a Russian satellite!

The reason why high badboy can cripple your game is that your neighbours will constantly declare war on you, not letting you have a breath of peace. War exhaustion gets ever higher, and in the end you are killing your own pops.

Germany is in an even worse situation, as it has borders with Russia, France, Austria and the highly aggressive Denmark:).

BTW the only way to prevent those wars is to have a gigantic military score. It will scare your neighbours. Also it's useful to build some fortresses on the border. The French usually dont mind when they lose some 100.000 men to your loss of 5.000.

Germany is easy. It's easy to dominate the world and win every war you fight, whether you're attacked or doing the attacking.

If you find yourself unable to survive as Germany, with all those troops, manpower and wealth, that's strange.

Do you not have enough troops? Can't you build more?
It doesn't matter how much it costs. You'll get the money back when the war is over.

To defend against the UK, you need to stack armies of guards and/or engineers in all of your coastal provinces. You don't want them to establish a beach head. Entrenched armies of 5 guards should be enough to destroy any amphibious landing. If not, have a large army of artillery stationed nearby to move in and push their weakened landing force back into the sea. Then stack more guards/engineers in that province.

The Russians can be held back with very large armies (like 10 each) of entrenched guards in each border province. If they start to break through anyways, move in and slaughter them with very large armies of artillery.

You can fight both the Russians and the British off in this way at the same time. Germany normally has a short heavily fortified border with France which can also be easily defended with stacks of entrenched guards. You can fight all three of them at once until they give up.

There's nothing to worry about unless Austria attacks you while you're already fighting those other three.

If you have overseas territory that you can't defend, let the British or whomever take it from you in the peace treaty. Your BB will go down. Then rebuild your navy and take that land back in the next war.

I have a land border with Britain near East Prussia and Russia is a beast thanks to my 63 years of assistance, also I the reason I have no forts on their border. My army can't get east and north fast enough after beating France (poor decision to not leave troops back but I had no clue about the 50 badboy.)

So you're fighting Russia and the UK simultaneously and they both have a land border with you, in the east.

You've got to end the war with one of them so you can concentrate on the other.
Without a map it's hard to say, but based on the picture in my head, I think you need to break through the Russian lines and take St. Petersburg. Stack guards along the border. Pick their weakest link and smash through it with large armies of artillery. Once you've broken through, send all the artillery to St. Petersburg, only stopping if you have to. If you want the ability to retreat, you'll need to station large guard armies along the way.
Take St. Petersburg and wait for the Russians to offer a peace treaty.

Then turn to the British. I don't know what they're defending their Baltic territory with, but you can probably take care of them with enough artillery. You might want to trick them into leaving their defenses and attacking you, so they lose their entrenchment bonus.

Without a navy, that's going to be pretty much all you can do to them. So you push them off the continent, slaughter any landing forces, and hope they offer peace eventually. In the meantime, put some resources into building a powerful modern navy, in case they don't offer peace.

This might take years, so always leave some defenders along the French border. Only as much as you would need to hold the French back long enough for your reinforcements to arrive.
