The Leopard series was a combination of the lessons learned from the Panther as well as the concepts from the E-Series and the Tiger Series. :D
Yes, but it was designed and built by democratic germany to meet NATO requirements.

Ideology has strong influence on design believe it or not. The Nazis would have never, ever, built the Leopard as we know it today.

Can you give us a reason why you feel that they wouldn't? The Leopard seems like a logical evolution of the Panther, a balance of Armament, Armor, and Mobility.

The E50 Onwards is the logical evolution of the Panther. The leapord is a completely different animal.
The Nazi regime was all about "Big Tank, Powerful Gun, More Armor"
The Democratic Government recognized that it was a bad idea, and went "Lighter, Faster, Powerful Gun"

I disagree, because if that was the case, the Panzer I, II, III, and IV would have never existed in mass production. The Panther was merely asked to merge the cost effectiveness of the Panzer IV, with sloped armor and a better gun than the IV. The Tiger I was in development in the early part of the war as to keep up with heavy tanks. I believe the Leopard would have been developed because of the Panther I, II and smaller E Series tanks. The E-100 and Maus were only designed because the Soviets were building bigger and heavier tanks, the Germans needed something to quickly counter that of course.

This is for regular DH, right? Not KR?

Yup, atm only for regular DH. By the way I did not realise that the ww1 scenario uses a different set of models (U08) for germany. So it does not make much sense that I added models for that period of time. But I will convert some earlier models to U08 later.

So has KR the same technologies and the same number of models?
If so it would be easy to use the graphics also in KR.

Actually, the Nazi regime was all about both - but at different times. The Nazi's were well and truly entrenched in power when the PzKw III was brought into production with a 37mm gun (despite Guderian's demand for a 50mm weapon) and the PzKw IV was fielded with a short barrelled (L24) 75mm designed solely for anti-personnel use. It took some time and the T34 to convince them that more gun and more armour were required, so it's not unreasonable to suspect that if the war in the East had developed differently and the flood of Russian armour halted, the rush to size might have been halted also.

It will take so much time to complete the models for germany that I am not so sure if I will start another set. I think I have completed only 40% of this mod so far.
I have started with Germany, as it is a main protagonist in the game, but without an adequate list of models (aicraft and vehicles) in comparison to USA and USSR. As I found much material I thought I could do a full set.
I think if I ever will do another country, I would do Japan for the same reasons. But Germany first...
